Old friends reuniting, far-flung families reconnecting, a group of dads and their kids, a send-off for a bride-to-be... Milestone birthdays, significant anniversaries, naming ceremonies and even weddings. We’ve hosted them all.

We’ve kept the number of tents small at each farm, so it’s easy to take over the whole place. Our tents are spaced both for easy interaction and a sense of privacy, so groups can be together without being on top of one another.

Our farmers can provide as much or as little as you need, from lighting the wood-fired oven for starlit pizza suppers, to taking delivery of a nice case of wine. They can bring to your canvas door, everything from farmer-style feasts to simple eggs and bacon for the freshest morning breakfast.

Slow Food

We know that at home, cooking is all too often a case of rush rush rush, even if the starting point is a nice recipe book. So to help ease you into your holiday, our farmers have pulled together everything you could need to make a great feast for the family.

The emphasis here is on simplicity, so no more stressing over weights and measures, or where to find obscure ingredients. The most important thing is that you take your time, and enjoy stirring the pot while looking out over the countryside.
 

Farm Supper Baskets

Feather Down’s answer to a worry free arrival, our farm supper basket with all the fresh ingredients you need for a wholesome supper upon arrival. In 2011 we’re also offering a new food / breakfast / vegetable and salad basket service.

Soup or Stew on the Open Fire

Farmer’s Soup or Stew on the Open Fire $28 (soup) / $35 (stew) You’ll receive all the ingredients – the fire wood, the recipe and the cooking utensils – to prepare a delicious farmer’s soup or stew at your tent, for four to six hungry people.

If you’re all in a rush to arrive, there’s no need to spoil the anticipation by stopping off for a fast food meal on the way.

With the Premier Service offered by many of our farms, everything you need for a quick hot meal will be waiting for you when you arrive at your tent. Not only that, but your stove will be lit, the candles will be aglow and your beds made up.
